Test Drive after carby work - up and over Mt Mee

Having rejetted the carby on Booger Mobile, Damian collected the lovely Tricia and his mother in law Christine and headed out for a test drive down to Brighton, out through Samford to Dayboro, then up over Mt Mee to D'Aguilar, back down to Brighton then back home again, to test the fuel economy and performance.

Heading up towards Ocean View.

Giggle in the window...

Still heading upwards...

At the Mt Mee lookout...

LOOKOUT!!

The Mt Mee Lookout, looking towards the Glasshouse Mountains...

The beautiful Tricia...

Details of what you are looking at, in case you ever get up to the Mt Mee lookout!!

And home...  199.78km travelled in total.

Most importantly, apart from Booger Mobile's performance being excellent (including overtaking a slow-moving vehicle on the way up the hill), the fuel economy is the best ever achieved at a spectacular (for Booger Mobile) 15.7L/100km!!

Might even make it 250km between fuel stops this year!!

Transmission fluid and oil change...

Time to start getting serious, with only 5 months to go till esCarpade...  First, a gratuitous plug for Cadist Consulting (Damian's company).

Time for a full oil and filter change... out with the old...

On with the new filter...

Meanwhile, Cisco (aka boofhead) is keeping Damian company, along with the cow from next door!!

In with the new oil... Valvoline XLD Classic...

Next cab off the rank is a transmission oil change... of course, the Borg Warner 35 doesn't have a drain plug... it's achieved by removing the pan itself...

See?

Then creating a transmission fluid waterfall!!

The pan has a few flecks in it... if Damian was panning for gold, this might be good, but as it's in the bottom of the transmission pan, it's probably not ideal...  None of them were massive, and there wasn't any visible damage...

That's better... now it's clean!!

As is the guts of the transmission, complete with new mesh filter!!

Pan back together... hopefully the leak is sorted out!!

Look, it even drives!!

Maintenance... it's a beautiful thing!!

2014 Camp Quality Supper Club

The 2014 Camp Quality Supper Club rolled around again, and yet again, Team Booger Mobile were keen to support Camp Quality...

This year's theme was Tales of the City.

As per usual, Tricia looked spectacular!!

Waiting outside the restaurant...

This year's dining experience - ARIA Brisbane.

Time to kick off... let's get the wine flowing!!

Happy table of revellers...

Delicious food...

Time to head to the secret after party location in our Lexus'.

Always time for a selfie with Ross!!

Heading to the after party, and photo-bombed by Vivien!!

Selfie with the roving entertainment... and again photo-bombed by Vivien!!

Waiting for the lift...

Selfie inside a crowded lift... why not?

Posing for the official photographer...

Reading the newspaper over the shoulder of a statue...  or was it?

Band of Blue (comprised of service Police Officers) provided the entertainment... and they rocked!!

Dancefloor antics...

There was still a bit of wine at the after party!!

And outside were Angus and Jo, with the lovely Tricia.

Damian and Tricia burning up the dancefloor...

No function is complete without a circle-selfie... created by putting the timer on the camera and sitting it on the floor...

Home time... Tricia chauffeured Damian home, after collecting their boys from Granny's place...

Supper Club done and dusted for another year... a pretty good night was had - but Damian hears rumours that next year the format will be different... Time will tell!!
